❓ What's changing?
From April 1, 2026, the Immigration Services Agency is dramatically raising fees. Visa status change/renewal fees increase from ¥6,000–¥8,000 to up to ¥100,000. Permanent residency applications jump from ¥8,000 to ¥300,000.
